lyrics

Mercy, oh Mercy, come take my hand
Join me until the end
Follow the river, don't follow the plan
Or their shadows will remain

Winners and losers are part of the game
And you don't seem to fit in
You reach for gold in the eyes of the damned
But you're lonely once again

Our bodies are buried, unremembered for a while
But our voices are still shining in the night
And the winds are blowing, cold and hard, against our masks
As long as we keep on hiding,
our hearts will be covered in stones

I spent so many lives inside of these walls
Learning to pretend
Wanna lay down my weary head somewhere I belong
Will you carry me again?

Mother, oh Mother, I've left my own land
Don't ever come find me I
'll build a safe home and never come back
Mother, no more crying.

Our bodies are buried, unremembered for a while
But our voices, they're still shining in the night
And the winds are blowing, cold and hard against our masks
As long as we keep on hiding
Our hearts will be covered in stones

Oh Fear, can you hear me?
May better days come tomorrow
I stood in you silence for too long
Death come and meet me
I'm your child, I'm your loved one
Make it real, let you love rain down on me
